Aatma: The Supernatural Powers

Review: Director Suparn Verma has casted Bipasha Basu as Maaya and Nawazuddin Siddiqui as Abhay. The two are a couple in this movie. Abhay is a psycho husband who always beats his wife. They have daughter Nia (five-year-old Doyel Dhawan in her acting debut). The two have a divorce and then the actual story starts. They fight in the court for the custody of Nia. Abhay wanted to stay with Nia but Maaya did not want that to happen and wins the case. Nia is very close to her father and is very fond of him. After the separation Maaya tells her daughter that her father is gone out of the country and will come back after two months, whereas he is dead.

Yes, he died in an accident with a desire to saty with his beloved daughter. Nia always finds ways to ask her mom about her dad but then suddenly she realizes that her daughter to herself and when she asks Nia says she is talking to her father and he has come back. This is the most dreadful thought for Maaya. Abhay taken revenge tells Nia bad things about and pulls her away from Maaya.

He tells Maaya before his death that he will take Nia from her and she will be left alone, the fight of eveil over good begins. She talks to her mother Shernaz Patel and takes help from other to help her rescue her daughter from her husband who is already dead. A Lot of threatening things are happening with Maaya but she does not give and fights back bravely and gets back her daughter. This is a story of a mother’s love to save her daughter from all odds. Book your weekend to see this well directed movie.
