There is no doubt that 2012 has been a watershed year for the film industry, and may well be one of the best, if not the best year ever, in recent history.
There have been many universal hits like EK THA TIGER, ROWDY RATHORE, HOUSEFULL 2, AGNEEPATH etc where both the mass and class have patronized the films. But a strange trend has been observed Diwali onwards as four major films, JAB TAK HAI JAAN SON OF SARDAAR, TALAASH and KHILADI 786 (final outcome awaited), have seen a good response from one section of the audience, while the other has not been so generous.
The Shahrukh Khan starrer, JAB TAK HAI JAAN and Aamir Khan's TALAASH have seen a major portion of their collections coming from multiplexes while the single screens have not been so kind. The remaining two, SON OF SARDAAR and KHILADI 786, have managed to set the single screens on fire while the multiplexes did not show the same enthusiasm.

However, all that is about to change as the trade is quite hopeful that just like his last all-time blockbuster, EK THA TIGER, the present box-office emperor Salman Khan's DABANGG 2 is all set to be another universal hit when it releases all over on 21st December!
Here is hoping that the year ends on a stupendous note with DABANGG 2.
