Lootera Review : An Unheard and Unseen Love Story

Rating : 4.5(4.5/5)

Review: VikramadityaMotwane who has been applauded for hi Udaan in 2010 has come with a different and never before love story. This is the story of a zamindar (Barun Chanda) of the 1950's in Manikpur, West Bengal who has a daughter Pakhi (Sonakshi Sinha) who is well educated but an impressionable one. He is warned by his munim to courtesy the State Acquisition and Tenancy Act of 1950 as most of the zamindars were loosing their titles. But the zamindar were more worried about his ailing daughter as she was suffering from asthma.

Out of the blue suddenly comes to their village an archaeologist Varun (Ranveer Singh) who has to dig up the mysterious civilization under his temple. While he along with this team is busy working he falls for the zamindar's daughter Pakhi. The zamindar is ready to get the two married after he learns that the boy likes his ailing daughter and she is also in love with him. But as he has finished with his work he leaves though Pakhi pleads and tell him not leave, but he goes away. She is left heartbroken and feels ditched. Her father's trust is broken and he feels cheated and feels bad for his sick daughter. Will Pakhi get over this ever?

Suddenly after a year the two meet in the same house that has been covered with snow. The love does rise but Pakhi has grudges against him for leaving her and stealing her heart. She hates him for breaking her heart and her father's trust. Will the two re-unite or will Pakhi forget him and move forward? Is Pakhi single or has she been married to someone else after her heart was broken by Varun. Move on to see the never heard and seen love story of Pakhi and Varun.

Sonakshi and Ranveer are superb actors and have given their best shot in this movie. Motwane has proved it again that he can create wonders. Though Sonakshi has done quite different roles prior to this movie, but she has proved it that she is true actress who can fit well in any role. Ranveer as usual has been tremendous throughout. Ever scene in the movie is like post card that will leave an impression and you would like to take along with you. Enjoy watching this movie with your loved one.
