Review: Aamir Khan starrer Talaash- the answer lies within; the much anticipated movie of this month has finally hit the theatres. The movie is an outstanding suspense- thriller with extra-ordinary performances from all the actors. Director Reema Kagti has done a wonderful job in pulling through an intricate suspense thriller plot into a life like film for the Indian Cinema.
The movie opens with flashes of seedy locales of Mumbai- the city of dreams, setting the tone for the rest of the movie. The central plot of the movie revolves around an accident case of a famous actor. The male movie star’s car with him in it falls off into the water while it was driven on the sea-facing road of Mumbai city.
The story of the movie moves back and forth and this makes it a more of seat clutching watch as we just don’t know what’s going to happen next. Inspector Shekhawat (Aamir Khan) is handling the investigation on the case and while doing so, he comes across the dark side of the Mumbai city including a hooker called Rosie (Kareena Kapoor). Meanwhile, Inspector Shekhawat has his own personal life troubles as his son is killed in an accident too and his wife Roshni (Rani Mukherji) is trying to come out of that shock.
The story superficially appears to be a usual bollywood style film script but what makes this movie special is the intelligent plot weaving. Also not to forget, that the real suspense of the accident is going to blow the minds of the spectators as it quite non-bollywood in approach. The movie keeps the viewer on the edge of their seats throughout the movie as they try to solve the mystery of the case.
The movie is surely a delight for the suspense movie lovers and will entertain them to the core. The second half is just too engaging with its twists and turns. Also, Aamir Khan Fans will enjoy watching him on screen after a long time as he plays the role of an honest cop. The not so Aamir Khan fans must also go and watch this movie because it truly the best Bollywood suspense thriller ever made. So feed your senses, it is a must watch for all.
