Chashme Baddoor – Movie Review

Rating: 3 Stars(3/5)

Review: David Dhaven as a director was very famous in the 90’s for the splendid movies gave us. He did fade away but he back with a big bang with Chashme Baddoor. This is a remake of the old Chashme Baddoor which was quite famous in the 80’s. This movie has almost the similar plot but he has changed style in this new avatar. The boys are over the top and the girl is dressed just opposite to Dipti Naval’s saree.

In this movie there are three friends Sid (Ali Zafar), Jai (Siddharth) and Omi (Divyendu Sharma) who fall for the same girl and plan to woo the same girl Seema (Taapsee Pannu) the daughter of an Army man (Anupam Kher) who wants to get her married to a soldier but escapes to her uncle’s house in Goa. Here Jospeh Fortado (Rishi Kapoor) is a café owner and is a typical Goan who is always ready with the one line and has his body tattooed.

Superb dialogues and interesting incidences bring a lift in the movie. All the actors have done their best. It is a superb comedy and dialogues from Omi throughout the movie. This lad has turned out to be a great revelation for the Indian Film industry.Jai has been in own style and done as expected. Sid may have been overacting in his past movie but he has done a fabulous job here.  Time to have fun filled with weekend with friends.

A must watch for the youth and friends from any city and state. You will love to see how “har ek friend kamina hota hai” believe me its going to make you think and laugh at things you must have done too.
