Review: As usual Peter Jackson’s fantasy adventure is a visual treat of the first order. This movie is part one of the Hobbit movies trilogy. The 3D adds to the entire fantasy setting and makes feel as if you’re standing on the mountain glancing at the land of the Hobbit.
The Hobbit is a prequel to the great trilogy of the LOTR (Lord Of the Rings) movie. The story goes like Bilbo Baggins, who is a Hobbit is on a quest to reclaim the lost kingdom of Dwarfs. He therefore sets out on his journey to gain back the Dwarf Kingdom from the dragon Smaug. On his way he meets with lots of adventures. A wizard called Gandalf, 13 dwarves go along with him on this journey and they are all led by the legendary warrior Thorin Oakenshield. The journey is quite interesting with all the goblin tunnels and the underground lakes that Bilbo passes through.
The characters and the scene appear life like in the 3D and gives amazing feel to watch it in the theatres. There are mesmerizing scenes of the goblin tunnels, underground lakes. The action in this movie is lighter as compared to the ones in LOTR.
However, the fans of Elijah Wood & Cate Blanchett will be bit sad as they’re not there in this movie but that does not pull down the magic of the fantasy world. The film is still an interesting movie to watch and it will surely transport the viewer into a different imaginative world altogether. It is undoubtedly a must watch movie of the year 2012 as it is the last visual treat perhaps of this year.
Dive into the Hobbit’s Shire with fantastically made ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’
